Mountain Orchards

Only min from downtown Ottawa this expansive apple orchard is a tradition for many families in the Ottawa region. Not only do they have a large orchard with rotating apple varieties on offer as the season progresses, they are also a mecca of family fun with a giant corn maze, wagon rides, straw jump, and kids play area. Don’t forget to pick up freshly-baked apple cider donuts, tasty butter tarts, pie kits, fresh-pressed apple cider and many other fall tasty fall treats from the farm store.

Orleans Fruit Farm

Providing fresh fruits and vegetables to the region for over 50 years, Orleans fruit farm is a great place to go apple picking in Ottawa’s east end. The 3rd generation family-owned farm is open for apple picking on weekends in September, and is also a great place to pick up late summer vegetables like potatoes, tomatoes, sweet corn as well as their delicious fresh-pressed apple cider.

Pinewood Orchard

With over 15 acres of mature orchard, Pinewood Orchard is a go-to spot for apple picking in the Ottawa region. Only 20-minutes from downtown Ottawa in the heart of the greenbelt, the orchard offers a variety of pre-picked and bagged apples, as well as a pick your own experience on weekends in September.

Cannamore Orchard

Family owned and operated for over 40 years, Cannamore orchard is a not only an apple orchard, but a hub for fall fun. Visit on weekends from Labour Day to Thanksgiving and enjoy cool activities like covered wagon and cow-train rides, pedal cars, hedge mazes, a kids play area, and of course apple picking. They are also home to Aces of Terror, a popular and terrifying Halloween attraction.

Applestock Orchard

Just south of Ottawa in the small community of Winchester, Applestock Orchard is fairly new on the Ottawa orchard scene, however is a great spot for fall apple picking. With mid-season varieties coming in future years, this up-and-coming orchard currently specialize in Macintosh apples, and has many younger trees with fruit closer to the ground; easier for kids to pick. Don’t forget to pick up homemade candy apples, local honey, and fresh apple cider on your way out.

Avonmore Berry Farm

Known for its epic strawberry picking season, Avonmore Berry Farm also has some cool fall fun, including apple picking. Visit from the end of August to mid-September to pick your own apples, enjoy weekend wagon rides, kids activities, plus pick up some epic treats and produce from their pantry store. If you miss the pick-your-own apple window, pumpkins season picks up where apples leave off in late September.
